Secretary and Director
Barbara Kacyra is a founding director of Human Energy and currently serves as its Secretary.
Along with her late husband, Ben, she co-founded and managed several corporations engaged in diverse businesses including high technology manufacturing and integrated software, as well as real estate development.
Ms. Kacyra holds a BFA with high distinction from theCalifornia College of the Arts where she taught in the architecture program for several years. Her particular interest in architectural preservation and restoration of the built environment helped spur the formation of CyArk, a non-profit organization focused on the preservation of the world’s cultural heritage and endangered heritage sites, where she served on the board of directors for over 20 years.
Long active in the volunteer sector, Ms. Kacyra has served as President of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America NorthernCalifornia Chapter, Chair and co-author of a pilot Early Childhood Education program, and member of SIP (School Improvement Plan for the review and analysis of elementary education fine art programs) to name but a few.
Sharing in her late husband’s vision of a future where humanity can consciously evolve towards its full collective potential, Ms.Kacyra now directs her attention and efforts to that end through the mission ofHuman Energy.
